Diagnosis & Specialist Care of Allergy & Clinical Immunology - Since 1982
Dr Peter Studdy graduated from the Royal Free Medical School in London in 1973 and then trained in general medicine, respiratory medicine and allergy at the Royal Free, London Chest and University College Hospitals in London. He obtained the MRCP UK in 1976, was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 1983 and awarded a MD in 1983 (Newcastle University) for original research in Pulmonary Sarcoidosis.

In 1982 he became Consultant Physician in General and Respiratory medicine at Harefield and West Herts Hospital Group and in 1984 was appointed to the Asthma and Clinical Allergy Department at the Royal Brompton Hospital. He retired from the West Herts Hospital Group in 2004 but continues as Honorary Consultant in Allergy and Clinical immunology at the Royal Brompton Hospital.

Dr Studdy is a registered specialist in respiratory medicine and clinical immunology with expertise in the investigation and management of cough and breathlessness, asthma, COPD, airway infections, lung fibrosis, lung malignancy, chest and nasal allergy.

As a registered specialist in clinical immunology with a particular interest in allergy Dr Studdy has expertise in the investigation and treatment of allergic rhinitis (hay fever), nasal polyposis, allergic and non-allergic asthma, anaphylaxis, food allergy and intolerance, latex
allergy, skin related allergies, chronic urticaria and angioedema, gastrointestinal allergy (such as eosinophilic oesophagitis), drug and venom allergies, the airway manifestations of systemic disease (such as Sarcoidosis and Wegener’s) and immunotherapy treatments (such as allergen desensitisation for grass and tree pollen allergy).
